As part of the Information Technology Service Centre (ITSC), the IT Services business units strive to provide a high quality of service to our diverse customer groups. The ITSC IT Services business units include:
- Information Delivery Systems (IDS)
- Information Security (InfoSec)
- Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI)
- Information Technology Support Services (ITSS)
Our Services
The KITSC IT Services business units provide a wide diverse range of services, delivered in a manner to ensure the best possible outcomes to benefit the teaching and learning process. Some of our core services and duties of our business units include:
- Customer Contact Operations (IT Service Desk & eLab Counters)
- Desktop Support services for the Standard Operating Environment
- Voice Communications & Video Conferencing
- Computing Labratory Maintenance & Management for faculties, including the eLab
- Data Communications
- LAN Administration
- Enterprise & corporate systems implementation and management
- Network infrastructure implementation and management
- Coordination of the Standard Operating Environment, including applications delivery via the Elevation04 Desktop Environment
- Network and infrastructure security, policy, procedure, and monitoring
- Setting and managing policy for protection of the University’s physical and electronic information assets

A single point of contact
As apart of our commitment to ensuring the best possible service to our customers, the IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for obtaining service and assistance from any IT Business unit. They are responsible for coordinating all customer interactions and ensuring your problem is tracked, monitored and resolved in the most expedient manner possible.
